Vacuum pouches for thermal processing
Sterilization • Pasteurization • Sous Vide
Thermal processing is a key process for ensuring the safety, quality and long shelf life of food products. To be effective, the product must be packaged in materials that maintain its structural integrity, barrier and resistance throughout the entire processing cycle - from heating, through pressure and moisture, to cooling. Our heat-resistant vacuum pouches are designed to withstand these conditions. They provide reliable protection against oxygen and moisture, excellent resistance to high temperatures, stable seams even with moist and oily products, transparency and good appearance after processing, as well as compatibility with industrial and domestic vacuum machines depending on the type.
Sterilization
Sterilization is a high-temperature process in which products are processed under pressure. To withstand these conditions, the packaging must have a stable multi-layer structure, exceptional heat resistance and reliable seams. INTRAMA vacuum sterilization pouches are specifically designed for autoclave use, where resistance to temperature, pressure and moisture is critical. They maintain their mechanical strength and barrier throughout the cycle, preventing swelling, tearing and micro-punctures.
INTRAMA’s sterilization vacuum pouches are:
Suitable for sterilization at up to 121 °C for a maximum of 4 hours
Suitable for hot-filling
Safe for use in the microwave – up to 900 W for 8 minutes
Available in one type:
Flat vacuum pouches – for vacuum chamber machines
| Pouch type | Available sizes for sterilization |
| Flat | 170х250 |
| Flat | 200х300 |
| Flat | 250х350 |
| Flat | 300х400 |
| Flat | 350х450 |
| Flat | 400х500 |
Pasteurization
Pasteurization involves processing at lower temperatures compared to sterilization, but it imposes different requirements on the packaging — good barrier properties, moisture resistance, and stability in a humid environment over an extended period. INTRAMA’s vacuum pouches for pasteurization are designed to maintain their mechanical strength, transparency, and seam integrity throughout the entire process. This prevents recontamination and ensures a stable shape and attractive appearance of the product after cooling — which is crucial for delicacies, ready meals, dairy products, sauces, and semi-prepared foods..
Sous Vide
Sous Vide is a method of slow cooking at precisely controlled temperatures, which requires packaging that maintains its integrity and stability during prolonged contact with hot water, fats, and seasonings. INTRAMA’s vacuum pouches for Sous Vide are designed to ensure a reliable vacuum, high transparency, and strong seams throughout the entire cooking cycle. This guarantees even thermal treatment, preservation of natural juices, and a stable product texture — critical for premium ready meals, restaurants, catering, and professional kitchens.
INTRAMA’s vacuum pouches for pasteurization and Sous Vide are:
Suitable for pasteurization and Sous Vide at 90 °C for up to 2 hours
Suitable for freezing down to -25 °C
Gamma irradiation under 25 kGy
Compatible with ethylene oxide (EO) sterilization
Available in two types:
Flat vacuum pouches – for vacuum chamber machines
